2018/19 PC LAX Fall/Winter Strength and Conditioning Program

This is not mandatory but strongly encouraged for all lacrosse players not playing a Fall or Winter sport, especially those that have their sights set on Varsity and JV this Spring season.

Description:

Building on the success of last year’s training program, Van Treese Training and CrossFit MinersTown (CFMT) will continue to develop strength and conditioning fundamentals that will support sustained, high-level performance on the field. We will use coach input to design a program that prioritizes measurable, sport-specific metrics and deliver a quantified report of individual athlete progress with respect to those metrics at the end of the program. 

If you would like more information about the program, please contact Ben Van Treese (ben@vantreesetraining.com) with CFMT directly. Ben has worked with a variety of Professional and NCAA athletes and developed lacrosse-specific training for HS teams in Ohio before moving to Utah.

Phase 1: September 4th - October 25th

“Phase 1” programming will begin Tuesday September 4th, 2018 and conclude on October 23rd, 2018. The program will be 1 day per week with 1 open gym per week. Team strength and conditioning will be on Tuesdays from 3pm until 4:15pm. We are offering the added open gym slot on Friday beginning week 2 of the program, Sept. 14th. On Fridays coach Devin Vernick will be monitoring the provided workouts. Coach Devin was a NCAA D1 strength and conditioning coach for 8 years, spending most of his tenure at Georgia State University. Our goal in “ Phase 1” is to teach the student athlete independence, drive, and confidence in the weight room all while learning from the best strength and conditioning coaches in the area.

Phase 2: November 5th – December 21

“Phase 2” will have a different focus from “Phase 1”.  The program will be two (2) days a week. Mondays and Wednesday from 3pm until 4:15pm. Each day will consist of 75 minutes of programming.

Phase 3: January 7 - February 8th

“Phase 3” will have a different focus from “Phase 2”.  The program will be three (3) days a week as we prepare athletes for the upcoming spring lacrosse season. These days of the week will be determined to work with the Park City Lacrosse practice schedule that has yet to be determined. Each day will consist of 75 minutes of programming.

Fee Schedule:

Phase 1: $125

Phase 2: $215

Phase 3: $235

Phase 2 & 3 Package: $400

Phase 1, 2 & 3 Package: $525/athlete

CFMT will cap participation at 25-30 athletes, in order to ensure the quality of the program. All Phases are on a first come, first serve basis.
