Cancellation before practice
Unless the fields are closed, the head coach makes the decision on whether or not to have practice.  PCYLO encourages coaches to wait as long as possible to cancel practice as weather can change quickly, and the season is short so we want to get in as many practices as possible.

During practice:
Rain/harsh wheather-- head coach makes the decision

Lightning- Lightning is a serious hazard and storms can move quickly in the region.  If you observe a lightning flash that is followed by a thunder bang in less than 30 secondssuspend the practice and seek shelter off the field.  Wait a minimum of 30 minutes for the storm to pass and reassess the situation.  Err on the side of caution with lightning.

AIR QUALITY – we play games in any weather. Lightning or poor field conditions are the only weather reasons that will cancel or postpone games. Notices will be placed on the website. When we have poor air quality we will plan to play. On YELLOW and RED Air Quality days we recommend the following: We encourage all parents to make the best decisions for their player. That may require that they hold out their player or use some breathing protection. Please be sensitive to young players and their developing bodies
